Early rules included limits on unapproved houseguests to one month, a ten percent kickback to the house fund from living room seminars, and a prohibition against 'sarging' women brought in by other pickup artists. However, these rules proved challenging to enforce as the community grew, highlighting the inherent tensions between personal freedom and communal structure.

The success of Project Hollywood rapidly inspired the creation of satellite 'Projects' in other cities, effectively franchising the pickup artist lifestyle. This expansion included Project Austin, Project San Francisco, and Project Perth, which saw students approaching one hundred women in their first three days on campus, demonstrating the widespread and infectious growth of the community and its methods across different locations.
